Resources

 On this page, you'll find various resources available for Bible study, prayer, and more! I'll update the list as I find great free tools for the Christian walk. Best of all, all of these are free (or offer free options that have plenty of meat to them!). 

I've used most of these and find them to be extremely valuable! 

Bible Study 

Today, it's possible to study the Bible online. This is a great option if you don't have money to invest in commentaries, theological works, etc. 

Olive Tree: https://www.olivetree.com/store/home.php?cat=259&free=y (much of the content here is paid; however, they do offer free resources. Choose a category such as "Bibles & Bible Studies" or "Bible Study Tools." When the page opens, look under the title of the page, you'll find a sort function. Choose the "Price (Lowest to Highest)" to pull up the free materials first. There are some great free materials available through this app). 

Free Bible Studies Online: http://www.freebiblestudyguides.org/ get access to free Bible study materials online). 

Bible Study Tools: https://www.biblestudytools.com/library/ (some references are free, but others are only available through a subscription)

Bible Odyssey: https://www.bibleodyssey.org/ (online tools to study the Bible—free)

The Bible Study Tool: https://www.crosswire.org/study/passagestudy.jsp (not easy to use, but if you play around with it, you’ll figure it out)

The Bible Unpacked: https://www.thebibleunpacked.net/free-bible-studies-pdfs/ (Offers online and PDF downloads of lessons—beginner/intermediate/advanced)

The Blue Letter Bible: https://www.blueletterbible.org/ (can be used online or you can download an app to access the site from your computer and other devices)

Bible Hub: https://biblehub.com/ (free online Bible study tool—offers access to various Bibles, commentaries, and more)

The Net Bible: https://netbible.org/bible/Matthew+1 (offers access to different NET Bible notes, looks like a few commentaries, Parallel Bible, and more)

Jewish Tanakh: https://www.chabad.org/library/bible_cdo/aid/63255/jewish/The-Bible-with-Rashi.htm

Bible Gateway: https://www.biblegateway.com/ (Read the Bible for free—many versions available—also offers paid plans to access more materials)

The Bible Project: https://bibleproject.com/ offers free Bible study tools, including podcasts, blog posts, guides, reading plans, and more. The site also has an app for iOS and Android devices. 

Bible Study Software/Apps

e-Sword: https://www.e-sword.net/ (my favorite tool--I've used this one for years--while they offer paid content, they also offer a wealth of free content that's very valuable)

the Word: https://www.theword.net/ (is portable—can install on a USB drive and take with you—just need to plug in to any PC and use)



Books for Devices

The Remarkable Bible: https://remarkablebible.com (is a PDF KJV Bible you can use in Notable or GoodNotes—you can make notes, draw, and more right on the pages and save them)

The Bible Project: https://bibleproject.com/app/#:~:text=Download%20the%20BibleProject%20App,community%2C%20and%20start%20the%20journey. (available on iOS and Android)


Prayer App

Daily Prayer App: the daily prayer app offers prayers for morning, midday, evening, and late evening. You'll also find a prayer wall, where you can write down a prayer request. It also allows you to read the prayer requests of others and pray for them. Really nice app. It's available on iOS and Android

              

Devotional App

Our Daily Bread: read a new devotional each with Our Daily Bread. Each devotional is accompanied with a reading for the day, along with suggested Bible chapter readings at the end of each daily devotional. This app is free and available on Android and iOS

                

Audio Bibles

Audio Bible: This app is completely free--you can listen to the Bible as it's read, read on your own, watch videos, and more. Available on iOS and Android. These are free. 

Bible.is: https://www.faithcomesbyhearing.com/audio-bible-resources/bible-is (here you can find links to download dramatized versions of the Bible you can listen to in over 1300 languages)

Librivox: offers a wide range of audio books, including Christian books. Many of these are out of print and/or in the public domain. The app is available for iOS and Android. (One of my personal favorite apps)
